Maryland is one of only three states in which it is a felony to ship a bottle of wine, yet Marylanders can receive ammunition, narcotics and fireworks, all controlled substances, delivered directly to their doors. 2010 is the year this will change in the Maryland General Assembly, and this issue needs your help to do so! Help bring Maryland into the modern era while supporting our nascent wine making industry, creating jobs and preserving open space.

About Adam Borden:

Adam Borden is the Executive Director of Marylanders for Better Beer & Wine Laws (MBBWL), a Maryland non-profit leading the fight to legalize direct wine shipping. He is also Managing Director of Bradmer Foods, one of the country's only specialty food focused venture capital firms, and has been in the food industry for 10+ years. Adam regularly lectures at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, his alma mater, culinary schools and professional conferences on food entrepreneurship. In his role as Executive Director of MBBWL, Adam has also become a Maryland licensed wine writer and has conducted a number of critical wine reviews.
